I Have Held Many Things
I have held many things,
and Let go of many more,
All the things I wanted to hold,
I have held their ideas more often.
I have held many things,
I have never needed,
and held the people,
I have never wanted,
but yet I am left,
more empty than nothing,
for the things I once thought mine,
the ones that were part of my own mind,
have gone long since.
I have held many things,
but they fly away now,
they flee from my decay,
they hark for the novel,
Though I once held myself,
I have since surenderred myself,
long since.
